I am all excited about Curiosity right now.
Do you know that the root of curiosity and care is the same in latin? Cura?
When we are curious, we care about something, and when we care, we also have some level of curiosity.
That makes sense. How can we care when we never feel any curiosity and how can we be curious if we don’t care?
When we are curious and care about people, things, ideas and elements, we start to interact with it:
we ask questions to better understand what is going on, how it works, how we behave
we try out, we experiment, we interact in one way or the other with the object or subject in front of us
we learn about it as much as we can
And when we do, we form relationships, we build connections, we have new experiences, we broaden our horizon, we invent a new medicine, we build a never seen product, we create stories and insights and bring to live what was not visible before.
Curiosity and Care are the base for all we do that brings alive something that was not there before. It is the foundation for innovation, for coming alive, for living a life that we are proud of.
In the next weeks I will explore it more. Curiosity. How we can measure it, all the positive benefits of curiosity, how we can leverage it, how we can experience it, how it can bring us into action, what elements and ways of thinking hold us back to be curious to reap all the positive benefits of it and how we can fully tab inot it to have it become one of our superpowers.
We all have it in us when we are born. But many of us forget that we have it. Through school, experiences, jobs, relationships. That is sad, as there lies so much aliveness, ideas, connections, and possibilities hidden in the shadows. Let’s bring some of it back and explore how we can best do so :)
