Finding more Ideas
And with some own ideas in petto, it is time for some more ideas too:)
In the last text, I covered finding problems we have ourselves. Now, it is about finding problems and frustrations others have.
There are 3 Challenges to tackle here and we will go through them one by one:
Find Bestseller and add a product like Linkedin is successful and we add Linkedin training
Marketplaces and finding ideas where people try to spend money like Craigslist, Etsy, Facebook, eBay.
Search Engine Queries, Reddit and anything you can find to look for great ideas. There is also an AI tool for that, I’ll have to find it though ;)
Noah proposes to have 10 business ideas in the end to the bring down to 3. I already have 10 through my own frustrations, but for the sake of the challenges, lets still play through them here 1 by 1.
Finding Bestsellers
Here we go:
Linkedin as a platform: offering something on top like Linkedin, Linkedin Sales Nav Training, faster writing to people (Lead Generation), getting emails from members. Oh,and we forgot the problem, the pain. One pain is that you only have 44 Inmails, equals direct messages you can send to people per month, which is quite litttle and for that reason, more would be beneficial. Plus you properly search for people plus especially seller who are supposed to use Linkedin in DACH are afraid to post but their employers ask them to do → help them alleviate that feeling, C level people in DACH often have copywriters helping them and writing for them, and companies pay money for ‘Digital selling’ experts
Offer trainings for Figma, Framer, Notion, Airtable, NoCoding with bubble, etc.. so basically already well-known and used tools
Offer an all comprehensive AI personality test combining all online tests into one and giving individualized recommendations for people struggling to fing their strengths (well, maybe not ;))
I think, you get the idea. I am not too motivated here and do not find too many excited ideas. For that reason, let’s move on.
Marketplaces
I checked Etsy, Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist but none of them excited me much. Instead, I went to Producthunt and was directly excited:
What if I build a Framer Portfolio Library? I love Framer but have not yet found a good portfolio template. This could be it. I just build one and sell it on Producthunt. Apparently there is demand, as for the one on Producthunt there are 580+ saitlisted people, while I do not find his portfolio page especially exciting and think I could make it more pleasant.
Found an amazing product that does something similar to one I wanted to build earlier before - it is tedious for users to learn new software. What if there is an AI that analyzes users interactions with a tool through a heat map and then suggests the next activities or even better does it for the user while the user can watch how it’s done? Truva seems to be similar to that, but with a slightly different focus.
Oh, and there is more… of course there is, as I simply love Producthunt! Signed up and am now getting excited about product ideas.
But let’s stop here.
It shows us though one interesting observation - it is tech tools, design and innovation that catches my eye and let me get excited - meaning problems in that space as well as solutions may also be especially exciting for me.
Search Engine Queries
And then there are Search Engine Queries. I did do that search beforehand, so won’t go into details here.
But what I can tell you is that it did not yielded significant results or problems worth solving for me.
When I go Linkedin however, then I find some problems there:
Sellers investing in Sales Trainings to improve their performance
Solopreneurs and Wannapreneurs look for accountability partners and communities when building up their business
People look for ways to improve their personal branding
Many people face burnouts and look to enter new industries, specifically tech
Companies have no clue how to use AI effectively
People look for NoCode solutions to build products
Companies look for Automation Workflow tools to stack apps together
Coaching founders look for ways to build their websites easy and fast
With that, there are various ideas and problems that are worth exploring.
Noah advices us to bring it down to 3 ideas based on our own excitement level that are screaming Me, Me, Me!
So let’s do that before we move to the next chapter.
Exciting Ideas
I want to help founders sell their apps/products and people finding good app deals. - either NY based products, apps or AI products
I want to have one system with all my contacts in one place, simple, easy, effective.
I want to help founders find the right tools for their business, find good tool conectors and tips to build products with NoCode & AI plus Tech Tool Subscription Overview Connector, run from one platform (like BetterCloud but better :D)
I want to help people learn AI and make them productive with it
AI Publishing Platform - publishing various content on one platform and automatically create multi-modal snippets for others
These are some more than 3 frustrations for now, but that is ok, as we now enter chapter 3 and with it many more tips on how to narrow down the frustrations amd ideas.
But before we conclude.
Did you pause and go through the exercises too?
If not, pause now and explore some more ideas for yourself on top of personal frustrations before closing the article. 😀
